SKI-DOO RACERS DOMINATE FIRST SNOCROSS RACE OF THE SEASON AS ISHOEL MAKES COMEBACK
Valcourt, Quebec December 18, 2024 – The snocross season opener had to be tough for the competition as it looked like Deja Vue all over again with Ski-Doo racers dominating the podiums. Included in that routing was the return of Elias Ishoel who suffered a season, and potentially career ending crash last year, only to return to the top step again in both the $10,000 Dominator and Pro class races.
The results sheets prove the point that Ski-Doo sleds rule the snocross world with wins and podiums from the kids and juniors right up to the elite pro classes. But this weekend the storyline belonged to Elias.
Isohels’ dedication to recover, train hard and will to win are more than admirable. The fans are just as much the winners as they all get to see his skill, ragged-edge style and sheer determination on the race track as he goes for championship number six this year.
In other race action, 2024 champions Crayden Dillon and Malene Cottew started their title defenses strong as both won on Saturday. Malene raced on Friday also, but a first turn tangle up had her at a big time and distance deficit before she worked her way back up to seventh for the night.
There’s more stories of triumph and heartbreak at every event and Ski-Doo is proud of everyone that saddles up to race. Ski-Doo salutes them and thanks its X-Team racers that represented in Ironwood this past weekend.
