OXFORDSHIRE, England, June 25, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - Williams Performance Tenders, the world's leading jet tender manufacturer, has signed a long-term supply agreement with renowned Rotax engine manufacturer BRP.

Following the success of the Williams Sportjet range - powered by BRP's Rotax 4-TEC 150 and 200 engines - BRP will also supply Williams with the smaller and lighter Rotax ACE jet propulsion systems for the exclusive development and manufacturing of an exciting new range of jet-powered rigid inflatable boats (RIBs), to be unveiled in early 2016. The new range is designed to complement the existing Turbojet, Dieseljet and Sportjet models.

The agreement with BRP will see Williams continue to fit the exhilarating Rotax 4-TEC 150 and 200 engines to the Sportjet 460 and 520, which were respectively launched in 2014 and earlier this year. Further additions to the Sportjet line-up are due to be introduced later this year and into 2016.

Mathew Hornsby, Sales Director at Williams Performance Tenders, commented: "In addition to our two companies sharing many synergies, we are incredibly pleased with the performance and success of the BRP-powered Sportjet range to-date. BRP is recognised as one of the most successful personal watercraft and powertrain manufacturers globally and this collaboration will not only see the development of a new range of models from Williams, but also provide unparalleled worldwide engine service coverage for our customers."

"BRP's Rotax 4-TEC in-board jet propulsion system is a proven power source and the perfect complement to Williams' performance tenders," said Sandy Scullion, BRP's vice-president and regional general manager for Western Europe, Middle East and Africa regions. "Our Sea‑Doo, Ski-Doo and Can-Am vehicles are all powered by Rotax engines and we are confident that this long-term supply agreement will provide Williams' consumers with a best-in-class boating experience."

Williams Performance Tenders, with its Turbojet and Dieseljet ranges, is recognised as the world's leading manufacturer of jet-powered yacht tenders, and with the launch last year of the sports boat models, the Sportjet range, Williams is expanding into a broader market sector. The company has developed strong relationships with leading yacht manufacturers including Princess, Sunseeker, Fairline, Azimut Benetti, Ferretti, Jeanneau and Beneteau – with many models being specifically designed to accommodate a Williams tender.
